IT Support / Systems Technician - Leading Property Development Business - Central London

Overview / Job Purpose

We are one of the UK's best respected property development companies. Founded in 1981, we have been developing well for over 30 years. We have built a strong track record in developments that combine offices, shops, hotels, cafés, restaurants and - increasingly - other uses including residential; and have become a leading practitioner of city centre regeneration.

Our IT department is responsible for the Company's entire technical infrastructure. The current team work together with the IT Manager and 3rd party suppliers to ensure the smooth operation of all systems and technical services. We now have the requirement for an additional 1st to 2nd line support engineer due to internal promotions and increased work load.

This role requires previous experience in a similar role, preferably 1-3 years exp. It will offer the right candidate opportunities to work with the latest technology.

Experience in as many of the following are preferred but ultimately we're looking for somebody with over 18 months IT Support experience with an excellent personality!

Duties

The duties set out below outline the range of activities currently required. They are not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties may be required to be undertaken.

  • 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line fault resolution on all IT's infrastructure (including Microsoft core technologies, VMWare, networking), using our "in-house" helpdesk
  • Initiate and maintain communication to end users at all stages of calls/problems
  • New starter basic inductions
  • New Starter and Leaver administrative tasks
  • Desktop and laptop replacements/upgrades/deployments
  • Monitor and maintain data on servers and ensure backups are regular and successful
  • Setting up, configuring and providing user support for mobile devices
  • Provide meeting room AV support
  • Create, maintain, and review IT documentation
  • Assistance with IT projects
  • Build and maintain a good relationship with outsourced support consultancies and 3rd party suppliers
  • Administration of the Windows AD (to GPO deployment level), Exchange 2010 and VMware / Hyper-V environment
  • Administration of the current firewall and anti-virus systems
  • Become a key member of the IT team and assist with team building and motivation
  • Implementing and running regular BAU system reports
  • Proactive maintenance and recommendations on improvements
  • Encourage new ideas, and welcome new systems/training as necessary

Location - Central London

Salary - £24,000 - £30,000 + Bonus & Benefits
