Full Stack Developer

I am looking for a Full Stack Developer to be based in London. In this role, you will work on developing and continuously improving an internally facing platform.

In this role, you will be adopting and adapting agile development techniques such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Take responsibility for code throughout the lifecycle, deploying to production multiple times a day. The technology stack includes PHP, node.js, Python, AWS, Puppet, Docker, React, and early attempts in microservice architecture, so there’s plenty of opportunity if you’re up for the challenge.

About You

You’re coming with solid back end background in modern PHP, but you’ve also written and maintained large scale SPAs written in React. You treat coding as craft, and you aspire to the highest possible standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and improving front-end of the internally facing applications
  • Developing and improving backend systems, services and APIs
  • Deliver projects according to agreed timelines
  • Ensure code is of high quality, secure and performant based on guidelines and principles agreed
  • Submit unit and functional tests with your code changes
  • Create a set of end-to-end tests to cover critical aspects of the application
  • Supporting Product Owner and Development Lead in prioritisation, backlog management, estimations
  • Active participation in agile ceremonies and peer code review process
Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional development experience
  • Proficient level of PHP5/7 and MySQL
  • Modern Javascript/ES6, React, Redux, Saga, GraphQL
  • Good understanding of OOP design and principles (for instance SOLID)
  • Modern PHP frameworks experience (ideally Symfony 3)
  • Unit and functional testing (PHPUnit)
  • Experience in Agile environment
  • Experience in Linux usage (Ubuntu)
Beneficial

  • Distributed environments, microservice architecture
  • Data warehousing experience (S3/Redshift and Looker)
  • Experience in Scala, node.js, python
  • DevOps experience
