This expanding, family owned business is looking for an experienced payroller to join their finance team.

Your new company
Your new company specialises in recruiting for technical, industrial and construction industries. The business are family run, with offices across the UK and they have been successfully placing candidates for over 30 years and relocated into the Wigan area around 18 months ago. This business prides themselves on their efficiency and their exceptional customer service.

Your new role
You will be working as part of a team of 4 dedicated payroll clerks reporting directly to the payroll manager. You will be responsible for processing the time sheets of over three thousand temporary workers, who's payroll is split between PAYE, Umbrella and Limited companies. You will be required to resolve any queries from the workers and liaise with your colleagues in other areas of the payroll department. As a Senior Payroll Assistant you will be the first point of contact for a designated branch of the company, providing support and advice to your colleagues. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely time-sheet entry with data from a variety of sources and in varying formats. You will also process expenses and pension submissions and complete HMRC, DWP, Court and solicitor information requests.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced payroll clerk, with experience of umbrella and limited companies' payroll procedure being essential to the role. You will have exceptional communication skills, through various outlets and be extremely personable at all times. You will be a strong decision maker and efficiently manage your own time, ensuring complete accuracy in your work. You will also be familiar with Microsoft Excel and be open to learning new, bespoke payroll systems.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive annual salary of up to £22,000, depending on experience, working 8:30 to 5 through the week. You will receive 28 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays, with the option to purchase more. There is a quarterly share scheme alongside dental, optical and private medical care.
