Exchange Administrator - Microsoft - 3 month contract - Must have SC Clearance - In-Scope IR35

Your new company
My client is expanding its Shared Service Support Centre in East Kilbride. The post holder will be a member of the Applications team, reporting to the Head of Applications. The Applications team is responsible for supporting all applications running on the service - currently Microsoft SharePoint/Office 365, Exchange, Active Directory and a unified communications product. This role, as Exchange Administrator, will have responsibility for maintaining, configuring and developing the Microsoft Exchange environment throughout the product lifecycle.

Your new role
The role will include implementation of best practices for configuration, backup and maintenance of the databases and Exchange platforms in the Development, Test and Live environments. You will work with vendors as a technical 'intelligent customer' to integrate and maintain 3rd party solutions such as message classification and external gateway products. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Exchange though development phases, testing and live, including performance testing/tuning, integration with other applications and broader programme features such as, designing and implementing monitoring and alerting capability.

You will have worked in a similar role with and have strong technical knowledge of Exchange and strong Powershell skills. You will have worked with enterprise networks and understand government security guidance to deliver secure network infrastructure services. You will have a strong user focus and an eye for detail - understand the technology that is required to meet the requirement for Information Management, and be able to work as part of a larger team. You will further be familiar with agile project methodologies.

What you'll need to succeed
previous experience with demonstrable high level of 'hands on' technical support experience to include: Microsoft Exchange Server, at least version 2016
- Enterprise scale Exchange Server deployment
- Enterprise Scale Maintenance and Support
- Experience of multi-tenancy environments ideal
- Backup and archiving services
- Experience with EMM integration and SMIME configurations
- Experience with mail gateway products PowerShell Integration
- Microsoft Exchange or Office 365
- Microsoft SharePoint
- PKI and certificate lifecycle management
- Microsoft Identity Manager
- Active directory Environments
- Good working knowledge of server virtualisation technologies such as VMWare, Hyper-V etc.
- Open source large-scale deployments (optional)
Security Clearance: Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is SC (Security Check)
ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate
