Your New Job Title: Mandarin speaking Global Head of Asset Management
The Skills You Need: Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Fund/Asset/Portfolio Management experience is essential.

Our client is an international leader in its field. The business also trades energy, softs and agriculture.

What You Will Be Doing:
Self-constructing and managing the QDII related fund

What You Need to Succeed:

Essential experience and knowledge:
Portfolio management experience
Managed an active absolute return fund from the launch of the fund
Managed a benchmarked active fund from the launch of the fund
Individually managed a portfolio in the size of 50 million USD or larger
Managed both discretionary investment portfolios and quantitative investment portfolios
Fund management experience in UK or US
Extensive active risk-taking experience as a portfolio manager or discretionary trader in the global markets

Trade structuring and execution experience:
Individually traded a portfolio in the size of 50 million USD or larger
Strong trade structuring and execution experience in global equity, bond, currency commodity and their option markets

Senior management experience:
Senior management experience in both buy side (asset management) and sell side (broker-dealer) in UK or US

Financial market knowledge:
Thorough understanding of Chinese stock, bond and commodity markets
Thorough understanding of global stock, bond, commodity and currency markets
Knowledge of the financial regulation structure in mainland China

Language skill:
Fluent in both Mandarin and English

Desirable traits and characters:
Highly developed communication skills and ability to build relationships at a senior level
Capable of quickly digesting information and presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned way
Thorough and accurate, capable of identifying the key issues without getting lost in the detail
Accountable for own decisions and respectful of the professional responsibilities of others
Socially mature, politically astute and self-confident
