Product Support Engineer, entry level, graduate, must be able to demonstrate support knowledge, explanation of database and structures, passion for technology

You will be working on a state of the art technology and fully trained on the job. You must have a passion for all things technical and an understanding of database structures. The Product Support Associate Engineer will work with the biggest Fortune 500 customers, in the cloud, big data landscapes, troubleshooting data manipulation operations, ETL and data governance/quality tasks.

After you have been trained the job involves 2nd/3rd line support. You will be dealing with complex customer scenarios, engaging with development to collaborate on knowledge management and resolving issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to think independently and be able to apply effective problem solving skills
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions in complex environments
  • Recommend known technical solutions and develop workarounds for new problems
  • Assist customers with performance and scalability issues
  • Foster positive customer relationships using verbal and written communication
  • Contribute to the internal and external knowledge base articles, wikis and forums
  • Manage technical incidents according to processes & Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Future opportunities to participate in weekend support roles

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of relational databases and particularySQL
  • Networking technology awareness
  • Good knowledge of Windows, Unix or Linux operating systems
  • Some Familiarity with programming languages such as JAVA/C++
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Consistently conveys a positive and professional image
  • Fluency in written and verbal English

Education

  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
