Your new company

My client are a highly successful care provider with multiple locations in Shropshire. They now have a requirement for an experienced HR and Training Manager to act in a standalone capacity, responsible for shaping and delivering the people strategy whilst providing a generalist HR Advisory service to management.

Your new role

As HR and Training Manager you will develop and deliver people management and development strategies which support the businesses overall strategic aims and objectives. You will contribute at both a strategic and operational level in order to identify HR priorities and recommend appropriate people management solutions which support business aims, in addition to providing a customer-focused HR service.

You will provide expert professional advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of people management and development, which fully reflects the desire to be an employer of choice through investors in people. You will take a lead on the recruitment and on-boarding of new starters including running the assessment and selection process.

You will work closely with senior and line managers, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities (including policies & procedures, terms & conditions of employment, absence management, restructuring of services, performance management, redundancy planning etc), in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management throughout the organisation.

As HR and Training Manager you will provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases, ensuring that these are well managed and meet the requirements of the organisation's policies, best practice and employment legislation and support and contribute to the development of the Training Plan and its subsequent delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be CIPD qualified or equivalent with experience leading a HR department in the care/healthcare or other service based industry.

You will have up to date employment law knowledge and be comfortable building relationships and influencing at all levels in the organisation.

As travel between their sites in Shropshire is required, you must hold a current driving licence and have your own vehicle.

What you'll get in return

My client are offer a salary if c£40,000 plus bonus, a competitive benefits package and expenses for all travel between sites.
