Senior Data Analyst Become a Data Engineer Work with Big Data and Scala

We are one of London's fastest-growing and innovative subscription-based tech-companies have been pegged to be one of the most successful start-ups in the UK and are gaining a lot of interest from Venture Capitalists. With over 100,000 subscribers in their first 3 years of operation, we are looking to expand into the European and US market over the next 2 years. A lot of this success has been down to the CTO who is the founder of 2 of the UK's largest subscription-based organisations.

As a business, we are making steps towards becoming a truly data-driven business and, as part of this, need to hire a dedicated and talented Data Analyst to grow into a Data Engineer. This is a role with a broad scope, across multiple business functions, with a huge variety of problems to solve around Big Data working with tools such as Scala, Spark, and AWS.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst who is enthusiastic about progressing their career towards Data Engineering. You will need to have:

An excellent understanding of SQL knowing how to write queries, subqueries, aggregation functions and complex joins.
Some knowledge and experience in Python (You don't need be an expert!)
An understanding of Big Data tools (Eg Spark)


Along the way, we will support you in learning more about data-engineering, Python, and tools such as Scala, Spark and AWS.
