Those roles will mostly be IT-based, with SportPesa's local partner 'Sportsoft' pushing for a local recruitment drive in Merseyside as part of a long-term vision. Job brief Our team of trailblazers and innovators is now seeking a highly creative and innovative Solution Architect for our Liverpool office to make intuitive high-level decisions for software development. You will see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, ideally in the Gaming Sector, experienced in designing and ability to develop a unified vision for software characteristics and functions. The goal is to provide a framework for the development of a software and systems that will result in high quality IT solutions.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications • Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface • Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility • You give same amount of love to non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, reliability, security, manageability and serviceability as compared to the core product features • Define all aspects of development from technology and workflow to coding standards • Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team • Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc. • Approve final product before launch Requirements Essential
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture working on largescale, complex, high availability systems for multithread applications • Extensive functional programming experience, ERLANG, and/or Elixir and OTP, Haskell, and/or SCALA • Experience with o containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and modern architecture patterns o writing sane high-concurrency systems o distributed systems o wrangling large data stores o distributed SQL and NoSQL databases without suffering split-brain o shipping and maintaining high traffic apps o system and application monitoring solutions • Excellent working knowledge of HTTP and REST • Proficient with Linux • Suitably qualified (BSc or higher in computer science or relevant field)
