We are looking for a Project Engineer for our global Plastics recycling and manufacturing client, located in Merseyside - easily commutable from Liverpool, Wigan, Widnes, Runcorn and Warrington.
For right candidate this is a really exciting opportunity with more than 100 project opportunity from all across the plant. Therefore it is important to have a broad experience of both manufacturing, ideally plastic and project management.
The ideal candidate will have:
5 years + experience working manufacturing, a variety of industries are welcome but plastic manufacturing will be desirable
5 years + experience in
A degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or a timer served apprenticeship
Relevant professional qualification
Strong knowledge of engineering standards and legal requirements
Be able to build strong working relationships across the company, from board to shop floor level
Your Role as Project Engineer:
Look after small to medium size projects - ranging from £5000 to £100,000
Manage the design work to ensure projects run to +/- 10% of cost; produce project proposal; financial justification
Manage the project from design, engineering, construction and installation. Making sure that all stages follow the required standards.
Manage teams of engineers, planners and schedulers who are delivering the project
Control all costs, select and manage contractors
Understand relevant legislation, including CDM
Ensure all staff, permanent and contract work safely and in line with professional standards
