A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join an innovative and expanding FinTech Start-Up based in the London, near Barbican station. The Technical Support Engineer will be working closely with the development team and will be responsible for managing, resolving and escalating issues.

The successful Technical Support Engineer will research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues, diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, and track computer system issues through to resolution, ensuring they are resolved within agreed time limits. The Technical Support Engineer will also log all issues and follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.

Required skills for the Technical Support Engineer

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments, including Virtual Machines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    Ability to understand and read Java (1.8) source code is advantageous.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field is desirable.
