Network Engineer

This position will leverage their Networking expertise (primarily Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto) to design, implement and support various client network infrastructures. Utilizing your hands-on experience with Cisco, HP, Juniper and many other types of equipment you will play an integral role in our clients Network Engineering Division handling various networking functions including security and firewalling.


·Responsible for all network and security implementations and day to day support functions supporting Financial Services Client in domestic and International offices.

·Prepare simple to complex network designs for existing and new client site establishments, site relocations, network upgrades, network expansions, and Disaster Recovery setups with a focus on Cisco for core network requirements.

·Presales support for Business Development team which includes onsite and phone meetings with clients, white board and WebEx design sessions, and demo presentations.

·3rd Level support for all network and data communication issues including private and Internet circuits, routing protocols, VPN connectivity, WAN optimization, hardware, and 3rd party vendor connectivity.

·Support and configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unified Communications Small Business UC500 voice systems.

·Designed intricate network infrastructure for secure hosted platform client offering to support hosted file, email, and SQL services via IPSEC and SSL VPN.

·Knowledge of equipment, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing efficiency.

·Respond quickly and properly in any Company or Client emergency situation.


·Experience in a Network Engineering role.

·Certifications in CCNA

·Hands-on Experience working with logical design models (L2/L3, Spanning tree, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling).

·Hands-on experience utilizing network control protocols (QOS, PoE, NTP, DHCP), network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPsec).

·Strong knowledge of IP communication and routing is required (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP); experience with intercompany routing strongly preferred.

·Strong understanding of WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, Frame Relay and MPLS).

·Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio.

·Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required; ability to present ideas in user friendly language.

·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred.
