Finance Assistant at the Church of England - permanent contract, 24K salary + benefits.

In these churches are clergy and church-goers representing a wide scope of Church tradition and breadth of ethnicity. We operate a payroll bureau service that monthly pays 500 people across 80 employers. Additionally managing, 155 residential properties for clergy housing.
We are based at 1 Colmore Row - Birmingham City Centre.
Your new role
As a Finance Assistant you will support the further development of the financial management and payroll services we offer to parishes and other charitable organisations.
You will contribute to the preparation of the monthly payroll for all its users, and be the first point of contact for the payroll bureau clients and their employees.
You will be responsible for the preparation and processing of recharge invoices for payroll bureau clients, management accounts for review by the Finance Manager and the day to day accounting for the CIGB (Churches and industry group Birmingham and Solihull).
What you'll need to succeed
AAT Qualification or equivalent
Charities or funds experience is desirable
Significant experience within payroll.
'Can-do' attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
