Business Analyst - Insurance

Due to expansion, a Business Analyst is required to sit within the Technology and Project Delivery Department to drive forward their Change agenda's meeting defined goals.

The Business Analyst will have:-

  • Good commercial awareness and with particular emphasis of the insurance industry
  • Formal qualification in Business Analysis highly desirable
  • Prince 2 Foundation an advantage
  • Good analytical, reasoning, organisation and negotiation skills
  • Creative ability to convert requirements into viable practical solutions that meet business needs and provide business benefit.
  • Good presentation skills and ability to facilitate meetings and workshops
  • Demonstrable knowledge of recognised business analysis methodologies
  • Knowledge of process mapping ?as-is? and ?to-be? and gap analysis
  • Ability to use questioning techniques to get to the root cause and allow requirements to be built out from this point ensuring that assumptions are avoided.
  • An understanding of IT solutions and architecture (cloud & physical servers, workflow, etc.)
  • Experience of developing business cases, documentation of business requirements and involvement in the full development lifecycle
  • Experience in prioritizing business requirements and needs in line with business benefit.
  • Experience in researching various solutions and doing solution alternatives analysis.
  • Experience in bespoke insurance packages would be an advantage
  • Experience with outsourcing and external third-party suppliers/partners
  • Experience of prior IT integration projects following a corporate merger or acquisition would be beneficial
  • Experience in packaged system evaluation and selection.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft VISIO, Excel, Word and Power Point
