Turbomachinery Engineering Project Lead

A leading organisation that specialises in the design and development for the next generation of Aerospace engines. They have recently started a ground-breaking innovative project and as a result of this, they are seeking a Turbomachinery Engineering Project Lead, on a permanent basis, to lead the innovation on this future generation turbomachinery sub-system for my clients new class of propulsion system.

The Turbomachinery Engineering Project Lead will receive:

  • A competitive annual salary

THE CANDIDATE

Turbomachinery Engineering Project Lead

The Turbomachinery Engineering Project Lead will require the following:

Essential Skills / Qualifications

  • Confidence with turbomachinery and power transmission systems
  • Qualified to degree level in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with some experience
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams whilst achieving results
  • Experience with the design and analysis of turbomachinery
  • Experience with both manufacturing and testing of turbomachinery equipment / parts
  • Experience with the use of commercial Computer Aided Engineering toolsets (FE Codes, CAD, CFD, PLM)

Desirable:

  • Would ideally have knowledge or experience within the aerospace industry

THE ROLE

Turbomachinery Engineering Project Lead

We are looking for a Turbomachinery Engineering Project Lead to join an exciting new venture and hit the ground running. We are also looking for a team player who has a positive approach to work and can focus when completing a variety of responsibilities.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Carrying out and integrating the design and analysis of turbomachinery components and parts
  • Develop using systems engineering principles requirements specifications for the turbomachinery
  • Work in partnership with both the programme and the wider team to develop and deliver product development plan
  • Ensure technical governance, quality and oversight is maintained in-line with company practice and procedures
  • Carry out mechanical analysis including hand calculations and FE analysis of turbomachinery components
  • Investigate & help technology development of materials and manufacturing methods for turbomachinery
