This school is ideally located and is easily accessible via car and public transport from Sheffield in particular. The school has recently undergone a refurbishment and now boasts state-of-the-art science labs and sports facilities which will be at your disposal during your time at the school. You will be supported by all members of the Science department, and the Head of Science will guide you through the schools professional development programme which is tailored to your specific needs and will give you a head start in your teacher training.

In this role you will be required to work across the Science department supporting staff and students in Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 Level and specialise in your specialist subject area at GCSE and A-level. You will be working with students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds and abilities so your excellent subject knowledge is important but you must find new ways to support and motivate all students.

You must be an excellent communicator and have high levels of resilience to encourage students of all levels and abilities to achieve their full potential. You must have graduate with a 2:1 or higher from university and have good corresponding A-Level grades. Any previous experience gained at university where you picked up transferable skills is preferable, however not essential.
