Maintenance Engineer (Six Month Contract/Three Shift Pattern)
A Midland based 1st Tier supplier is seeking to strengthen their maintenance team with the appointment of a Contract Multi Skilled maintenance Technician.
The contract maintenance engineer will be required to work a three shift pattern.
As the contract Maintenance Technician your primary task with be to ensure that machines, equipment and buildings are maintained to a level that optimises machine efficiency, minimises breakdowns and complies with company requirements and health, safety and environmental requirements
*Carry out preventative maintenance according to PPM schedules, minimising down-time
*Document and record actions taken and offers suggestions on machine/cell specific improvements to avoid recurrence
*Assist in the installation and commissioning of all new machinery and equipment
*Carry out corrective maintenance actions promptly and efficiently
*Review the Preventative Maintenance Plans and suggest modifications
*Assist the Manufacturing Engineers in solving technical or quality-related concerns/problems.
Ideally candidates will be apprentice trained, with proven ability in Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic principals, preferably 16th or 17th Edition Qualified. You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of Siemens PLC, maintenance and fault finding.
Candidates should have previous automotive experience or experience of working within high volume manufacturing arena. You will be fully conversant with TPM/PPM with the ability to work un-supervised.
