Academy Trainer - UK

A large Engineering and Sciences Company are recruiting for an Academy Trainer who will be essential to the success of their Training Academy.

The Academy Trainer will be responsible and accountable for the design and delivery in-house training interventions meeting the training needs of the business.

The role will require UK travel.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and delivery of in-house training interventions addressing:
    • Entry-level management and leadership (leading self and leading people)
    • Performance management for managers
    • Performance management for employees
    • Induction
    • Basic coaching and mentoring
    • Presentation skills and story-telling
    • Assessment training (Development Centres)
    • Other training as required
  • Establishing a library of Academy template training materials (lesson plans etc) in order to facilitate agile delivery of training interventions.
  • Working with and supporting external providers in the design and delivery of training interventions led by the external L&D provider.

Essential Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • Experience in management, leadership and performance management with experience in training/mentoring teams in those skills.
  • Comprehension of career frameworks and competency frameworks across the breadth of the businesses, E&O and enabling function capabilities.
  • Strong project planning and organising skills.
  • Adaptability in their communication and training delivery style, in order to successful influence different delegates at different levels of training needs and learning styles.
