We are looking for a CESG certified Assurance Architect, to join a project for the Greater Manchester Police. You will be required to drive beneficial security change into the business through the development or review of architectures so that they:
? Fit business requirements for security
? Mitigate the risks and conform to the relevant security policies
? Balance information risk against cost of countermeasures

Key Skills and Attributes required for the role:

? Enterprise Architecture skills, typically comprising modelling, building block design, business process modelling, applications and role design, systems integration, etc.
? Proven ability to logically map business functionality to information structures and respositories and respositories to applications and infrastructure
? Proven ability to negotiate appropriate information solutions with 3rd party suppliers to meet the needs of GMP.
? Proven ability to produce detailed documentation and management summary reports, including production of technical diagrams and graphics
? Works effectively within a team and also on own initiative.
? Plans, monitors and reports against multiple targets and take actions to resolve unexpected problems.
? Use ICT office related software to manage self, deliver work related products and collaborate with others. Example: MS Office, MS SharePoint.
? Good influencing and negotiation skills.

Influences the security of enterprise or solution architectures across the public sector or across the whole of a public sector organisation, or private sectors

? Initiates development of new security architectures to mitigate emerging information risks
? Influences senior stakeholders to comply with architectural principles and objectives
? Presents the business case to Directors for strategic security investment in enterprise or solution architectures
? Establishes training programmes for Security Architects
? Mentors, supervises or takes responsibility for the work of less experienced Security Architects
? Influences security architecture practices in widespread use across the public or private sectors

Clearance Level Required: Force Vetting
Candidates will be CESG Certified IA Professional Lead IA Architect

Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and where a worker elects to provide their services through an intermediary (such as a personal services company) then income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
