Contact Centre Implementation Engineer

Manchester Based with some travel required circa £32-38k + Car Allowance + Benefits

Exciting opportunity to join a global leader in the customer communications industry implementing award winning Contact centre technology. The Implementation Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the implementation of Contact Centre products and provide onsite technical advice and functional training for staff at new installs.

Experience and qualifications:


  • An awareness of Contact Centre operations and unified communications.
  • Experience with telecommunications architecture, including PBX, ISDN and SIP technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments, including Server 2012, IIS and web services.
  • Basic level of data networking knowledge, including the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose network issues.
  • Basic level of experience administering and maintaining linux (CentOS) servers and systems.
  • Strong experience in a Business Analysis role, with the ability to gather requirements from customers and participate in solution design workshops.
  • Strong technical writing, with the ability to document complex solutions in Functional Design specifications.
  • Track record of delivering complex solutions to deadlines working under pressure.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Clean UK driving license
  • Ability to travel to customer sites when required


  • Experience managing, installing or supporting Contact Centre solutions including IVRs, ACDs and outbound diallers


  • SQL - MS-SQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL certifications
  • Linux - LPIC1/LPIC2/RHCE/Linux+
  • Telephony - Digium Asterisk Certification, SSCA or other relevant certifications
  • Experience of telecommunications architecture - PBXs and ISDN.
  • A working knowledge of MS SQL 2000/2005 database structure and queries.
  • Experience of troubleshooting data networking issues.
  • Be able to demonstrate, well developed, problem management skills.
  • Excellent customer service.
