Graduate Learning & Behaviour Mentor
- Graduate with core subject degree, 2:1 or above
- Experience working with people in challenging environments highly desirable
- Monday - Friday, term-term time
- Earn up to £300 per week
- Trial days being arranged
- Supportive and visionary secondary school
To be successful in this role, you must be able to build meaningful relationships with disengaged and hard to reach students, who display a variety of needs. You will need to be able to effectively communicate with staff, parents and external professionals such as educational psychologists, to ensure that the needs of the children are met and they are safe at all times.
The role will primarily be a pastoral role, that working to find strategies to overcome is poor attendance, lack of self-confidence, self-esteem or motivation and behaviour or emotional difficulties, due to environmental and personal factors. Your responsibilities will involve liaising with students, teachers, senior leadership, parents and external professionals to ensure that the students' personal well-being is improved and maintained and they reach their full potential.
The school has a high number of Pupil Premium pupils, who come from incredibly diverse, and in some cases challenging backgrounds.
