Innovative developer of advanced, high availability, real-time mobile transaction and payment solutions is looking for a well rounded consultant to take responsibility for the end to end implementation of their sophisticated software products. The role is very customer facing where you will need to understand the detailed client requirements and work with them to implement and integrate the solution to their precise needs.
The product is Java based with a high-performance C++ back end and this role requires someone to have a good understanding of solution design as well as technical skills in most of the following: Java (7 or 8), J2EE, Apache Tomcat, Apache Camel, XML, Tibco or similar Middleware / API and Linux.
In addition to good technical skills, some background in Telecoms (Payments, billing, real-time transaction applications) is required in order to understand the client requirements and work closely and credibly with the Telecoms software engineering teams.
This is a rapidly expanding company with several UK locations and whilst it will require circa 40% domestic travel the role will not require frequent trips into the office at Reading with working from home perfectly acceptable.
