Econometrician - Media and Marketing

We are currently recruiting for an Econometrician to join a very successful media agency in London. As an Econometrician you will be working with a small team of analysts to collect, refine, interrogate, understand and ultimately present data and insight to clients and stakeholders. This information will be around their media and advertising activity.

As an Econometrician you will ideally relevant work experience, with demonstrable expertise in helping clients get the most from their analytics activities. You will promote the use of data analytics at the heart of all our media strategies, with a proactive approach to delivering insight that is relevant, accessible & actionable.

* Highly strategic and analytical problem solver with a deep understanding of media measurement, evaluation & optimisation. Able to translate business requirements into a well defined measurement, insight and optimisation strategy is desirable.
* Delivering granular data analysis to often non-technical clients clearly and precisely so they are able to understand the key benefits.
* Working with client-facing teams to identify opportunities to position their data services as a method of solving clients' problems or answering their questions about marketing comms activity.
* Total integration with comms planning & digital teams to standardise and improve econometric modelling outputs.

* Educated to degree level with a numerate, psychology, or business/marketing subject
* Some relevant work experience ideally gained in a media/marketing environment
* Understanding of Market Mix Modelling through all stages of a project, from data preparation, model building and creating final presentations.
* Understanding of core media planning & reporting tools e.g. TGI, DDS, Google Analytics etc. to source data directly for analysis & reporting
* Understanding of key aspects of digital media (search, SEO, display, affiliates & aggregators) and the underlying properties of the data.
* Experience of using qualitative and quantitative methods to collate accurate data & information for interrogation
* Solid experience of at least one statistical analysis software platform - e.g. SAS, SPSS, R
* Be able to demonstrate amazing Excel skills.
* Strong grasp of the various data visualisation tools currently available (e.g. Tableau, Omniscope) and experience of creating client dashboards would be a distinct advantage.
