Graduate Teaching Assistant:

This amazing school in Birmingham is looking for an ambitious Chemistry or Physics graduate who has achieved a 2:2 or higher in a Chemistry based degree. Ideally this role would suit somebody who wants to gain paid experience prior to starting a teacher training course in September 2018. The school has high expectations and excellent results within the science department, consistently achieving over 70% A*-C in science at GCSE.

About the Role:

Your role as a Science Teaching Assistant will enable you to work initially with small groups and on a one to one basis supporting learners in their science education. This could mean working with children on the C/D border line or even with those who are expecting to gain an A to A* grade. The Head of Science leads a successful department and is looking for an ambitious graduate to join their supportive science department in September. The Head of Science will be your mentor throughout your time at the school and will allow you to access plenty of training in order to allow you to develop as a teaching assistant who aspires to become a teacher in the future.

About the School:

At this Birmingham school, you will work collaboratively with the Science Department who will be supportive and instrumental in your professional development. After an induction period you will be given the opportunity to take a cover lesson a day in order to practice and refine various teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.

This fabulous school is committed to supporting children to reach their potential and truly believe that ambitious Chemistry graduates can make a real difference in the student's education! This school is also located nearby to excellent public transport links. The school is accessible via a number of train stations and is 20 minutes by bus from Birmingham New Street station.

If you are an aspiring teacher with a science degree and would like to gain a full year's worth of experience in this amazing school then apply for this role today!
