Product Director - Hotels Content & Suppliers - 6 month contract

Mane are exclusively recruiting for a Product Director Hotels Content & Suppliers to work on a 6 month contract basis (option to go permanent after) on a Greenfield Project. This role is for one of the worlds leading Global Business Travel Management companies.

The Product Director will be working with the following:

*Supplier and Content: which is focused on providing broad, rich and deep content for sourcing, selecting or booking a hotel
*Booking Services: which is ensuring hotel content is available to use across all our booking channels, both offline and online, and across all markets and clients
*Relationship Management and Distribution: which will guarantee end-to-end dynamic traveler-focused technology.


Roles and responsibilities of the right Product Director:

* The Product Director will be a business oriented individual and will be responsible for leading team of product managers; project manager and business analysts to deliver value added features on time and ensure strategic priorities are followed
* Build and maintain an overall roadmap with regular liaison with other internal groups
Ensure that the product evolution is in line with short and long term company strategy
* Work closely with IT teams to ensure a smooth & regular release cycle
* Work closely with Services, Platform & Digital teams to ensure proper deployment & usage of new features
* Define product management best practices & ensure they are applied
*Best practice research and benchmarking. Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong understanding of stakeholders to drive development decisions)
* Define and report on KPI at product level
* Consolidate & report values driven from the product usage & changes
* Act as product evangelist both internally and externally
* Ensure product support is in place and efficient

Team Management

* Ensure alignment of the team with deliverable objectives aligned to business strategy
* Manage team and individual objectives, performance review & development
* Foster a culture of collaboration and openess
* Ensure the team delivers against business priorities
* Create a learning environment
* Manage team or individual performance, security or compliance issues, should they arise

Technical skills

*Proficient in the English language, both spoken and written
* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities

* International travel required up to 25% of time

Experience of the right Product Director:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, or equivalent education/experience. Master's degree or post graduation qualification desirable Experience
* Previous international/global experience and proven success working in a multi-cultural environment
* Preferred experience within the hotels, airline, GDS sector or other global network service related companies
* Experience in Hotel distribution domain an asset
* Successful project management experience
*Strong change management process knowledge & experience
*Successful lead of a global multicultural team
