The Proclaim Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the Proclaim Team based in Southport, but will also share the development workload.

This role will report into the Head of Development, and work alongside a growing team of other developers and where necessary Eclipse Legal Systems to ensure that any required upgrades to the platform are deployed under effective change control, with minimum risk and little impact for end users and stakeholders.



As well as Development, the role will include the administration of the Proclaim system, including maintenance of templates, configuration, server administration and design.



The role will require co-operation with the wider IT and Development teams, and may offer the opportunity for involvement in other areas of Development such as C#, Salesforce and SQL.

Whilst the role is based in Southport, it will involve occasional travel to other offices.





Key Responsibilities
  • Line management and personal development of a team of developers with a range of skill and experience levels
  • Capable of understanding and contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level
  • Working closely with the Head of Development and development team to produce accurate delivery


estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery
  • Provide regular and effective progress updates to and work closely with the Head of Development to ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues
  • Ensure awareness, involvement and support from the key stakeholders and participants by building strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Support the Head of Development in project resource scheduling and department capacity planning
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment to continual service improvement
  • Ensure adherence to the SDLC and departmental processes.
  • Manage daily triage of the Service Desk tickets, and proactively ensure progress on all tickets in line with relevant service level targets.
  • Work on a wide range of projects involving the implementation of new and existing systems, solutions and processes


Candidate Profile
  • Experience of people management and the ability to lead, motivate and influence others
  • Experience in formal personal development planning and individual, team and process performance


management
  • Experience of dealing with senior business users
  • Experience of working to demanding targets and deadlines
  • A flexible approach to fast-moving environment with dynamic priorities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment
  • Experience in the development of software using Proclaim.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Excellent personal organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks
  • Able to influence others to meet key milestones and overcome challenges
  • A desire to remain technically capable and an expert in current technologies
