Senior Software Engineer – GPU or OpenGL Graphics

Role:
The role of C / C++ Software Engineer within the organisation is to develop and maintain an understanding of all graphics components used within Linux based mobile platforms and to provide technical guidance and architectural design advice based upon this information to the Platform group, and other groups within the company. The role requires work with suppliers and other 3rd parties to ensure that their products are able using class-leading technology and methods for graphics processing.
The ideal candidate will be a talented and productive software engineer and will have an excellent academic background together with a proven track-record in many of the following areas:


Required:
  • BSc or higher degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Applied Mathematics / Physics or similar subject
  • 5+ years of industrial experience in systems programming
  • Expertise in computer graphics with experience in design and development of software such as OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Vulkan or DirectX
  • Understanding of computer graphics pipelines and modern mobile GPU architectures
  • Excellent C and C++ programming skills
  • Knowledge of high-level shading languages, e.g. GLSL/HLSL
  • System level performance analysis and strong OS fundamentals (memory management, multithreading/synchronization, user/kernel mode interaction)
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and a results-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and debugging
