Finance Business Partner

They are experiencing a period of rapid transformation and change and this role is intended to support the business to achieve strong financial reporting and performance objectives. You will hold responsibility for the preparation, development and analysis of key financial information to ensure that the Senior Management Team makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability. You will actively contribute to achieving delivery and financial objectives. You will also assist in establishing and maintaining financial policies and management information systems, as well as providing a high quality support service by liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance. The role combines accounting skills with business management skills and is a commercially focused position. You will be responsible for; Preparing monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary. Providing a support service by working with the department and the management team to help make financial decisions. Control of expenditure within the unit, including sign off of purchases and other financial transactions. Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts. Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed. Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls. Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested. Knowledge & Competencies Required; The successful candidate will be a fully-qualified and certified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or other recognised professional accounting body). There is a preference for candidates to have a grounding/training within the Big 4 accountancy firms. The successful candidate will have a degree or other relevant finance qualifications or experience. This person will have strong analytical skills and very strong ability to communicate analysis verbally and in writing. You will have strong interpersonal skills needed to succeed in a business partnering style of role. IT skills are very important including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. This role is suitable for people with very polished financial reporting skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to enjoy a high level career in a finance role.
