ETL Developer is required by a buoyant financial services organisation based in the heart of the city. This role will see you building high-performing ETL, using Microsoft SSIS, managing and developing the SSAS cubes, and making technical recommendations for improvements. You will have input into the design and build of new features and upgrades, and therefore you will need to be self-motivated to keep up to date with technology and be comfortable in any aspects of the full SDLC. You will also be involved in mentoring less experienced developers when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, extending and updating SSIS packages to support the Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Responsible for the smooth delivery of ETL solutions, including task estimation, status updates, awareness of timescales and stakeholder expectations
  • Key player in the design of new features and upgrades to the Data Warehouse
  • Involvement in the build and design of new database/ETL solutions, where applicable
  • Training existing technical and development staff.


Skills & Experience:
  • A strong technical background with proven proficiency for designing Business Intelligence systems using the Microsoft BI stack
  • Solid understanding of application development lifecycles and methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
  • Passionate about technology and database development, ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, detail oriented, a responsible team-player, and passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
  • Proactive and highly organized with strong time management and planning skills
  • Highly customer focused and proficient in working with Business Analysts
  • Commercial experience in developing and deploying Microsoft Business Intelligence applications
  • Proven experience in SQL Server 2012+ (preferably 2014), SSIS, SSAS
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Agile development methodologies
  • Preferred experience in: Script Tasks (.NET), integrating with Web Services, JSON and other non-SQL sources
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and building data warehouses using the Kimball methodology
