Infrastructure Team Lead – Windows ITIL – Bradford, Leeds (West Yorkshire)

Infrastructure Team Lead – Windows ITIL – sought by genuine market leader at their offices in Bradford, easily commutable from Leeds (West Yorkshire)

Key Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an IT Leadership position and

from a technical perspective should have third line support skills across a number of the following disciplines: -

-Microsoft Windows Server (2008 R2 / 2012 R2 / 2016)

-Linux Server (RHEL v6 / 7)

-Active Directory

-Group Policy

-VMWare ESXi v5 & v6 and associated management tools

-Microsoft Systems Centre (SCOM, SCCM, SCDPM)

-Storage Management Experience (ideally Hitachi HDS presented via NAS)

-Managed File Transfer (ideally MoveIT)

-Distributed File Systems (DFS)

You will have experience of root cause fault analysis and problem management on Microsoft services based infrastructure, a grounding in understanding business customer’s and delivering quality in incident handling, root cause analysis, and a strong discipline for the creation of technical and process documentation.

The role:

This is a hands-on role which will require you to split your time 50/50 between the People Management responsibilities for the team and also performing technical work across the Infrastructure Estate.

Duties of the role will include managing the workload of the team (currently 10 direct reports), resourcing, and ongoing performance management of individual staff with support from the Infrastructure Operations Manager. Running the regular 1-2-1 and Team Meetings to embed a smooth Operating Rhythm within the team.

Technically you will be delivering solutions to core service and platform incidents, provide a 3rd line level of support to core services and maintenance of mission critical infrastructure. Taking accountability for technical and support tasks, work reactively and in a proactive frame of mind, follow agreed Departmental ITIL processes (including effective Incident, Change, Problem and Transition Management).
