What you'll do...



The Brand Protection Analyst will manage and monitor all domain names and security certificates with a clear focus on the brand protection, compliance and domain & social media requirements for the Sporting life, Oddschecker, and Sky Betting and Gaming portfolios.



How you'll do it...



Reporting to the Technical Compliance Manager you will:
  • Monitor and manage online brands, using vendor specialist tools
  • Manage registrations, renewals, transfers and deletion of all domain names for Sky Betting & Gaming and related companies
  • Manage defensive registrations effectively, ensuring new technology techniques for infringements are monitored and defensive registration requirements are managed and reviewed with Legal, Security, Tech Compliance, Sky plc and Brand Marketing
  • Ensure all domain names are live and redirecting to the appropriate key server /IP address adding traffic monitoring and geo location tags for reporting requirements
  • Advise product teams/new ventures of the relevant procurement process for specific domain names recovery, research options and legal requirements
  • Manage international registrations, working with Legal and Sky plc to ensure brand alignment and relevant domain names and trademarks are aligned
  • Manage the NetNames / other vendors' early warning reports ensuring notification of abusive activity where relevant
  • Prepare appropriate documentation for domain name transfers resulting from legal process/acquisitions
  • Update documentation as and when required
  • Undertake online investigations
  • Prepare compliance and brand protection reports on a monthly basis detailing take downs and improvements to the portfolios
  • Ensure WHOIS ownership details for each domain name is kept up-to-date
  • Create an active website and cookie register for all brands




SSL Certificate management:



Manage Secure Server Licence service renewals, ensuring that the domain names and sub domains are correctly configured to our standards.



Keep up-to-date records of all security certificates.
  • Maintain the Security certificate portfolios
  • Monitor and create reports on all security certificates
  • Create renewal notifications, keeping the operations teams / Tribes updated with critical dates
  • Own the Security certificate process
  • Work with Sky plc as appropriate to add authorised domain names to the Security certificate supplier portals
  • Ensure the domain names are authenticated when necessary
  • Request certificate signing request keys from the relevant product teams
  • Generate the appropriate security certificate
  • Provide the certificate to the server engineer
  • Confirm when the security certificate has been applied




Administration:
  • Maintain budget reporting and manage invoicing for domain names and security certificates
  • Prepare regular reports for head of security, finance and multiple legal teams.
