ProClinical's client, a pharmaceutical manufacturing business, is seeking a Facilities Manager to be based in London on a contract basis, with the possibility of extension.

Role Overview:

* Implement robust regime for the production of PET radiotracers
* Organise maintanence schedules for equipment and facilities
* Organising day to day / weekly monthly production of radiopharmaceuticals against agreed standard operating procedures
* Organise rotas and appropriate cover of PET radiochemistry staff for production of radiopharmaceuticals in conjunction with Production manager, QC manager and PET centre service manager
* Ensure appropriate maintenance of production-related instrumentation and infrastructure is performed and documented appropriately
* Organise the validation of production methods and processes
* Support resources required for Implementation of new production methods/procedures/instrumentation
* Oversight and documentation of raw material utilisation and tracability for production purposes in conjunction with the QC manager
* Close liaison with QC, instrumentation and production managers in smooth running of the radiotracer productions.
* Close liaison with the PET Radiotracer development and instrumentation manager in the implementation of new radiotracers
* To be proactive and responsible, to ensure that regulatory and technical problems are solved and do not present barriers to the production of radiotracers
* To take an active role in the planning and implementation of the new PET radiochemistry laboratories in addition to the existing facilities
* Takes the lead in planning, preparation, data collection, monitoring, validation, documentation and implementation of production methods, technology and instrumentation.
* To enable the implementation of new and established PET chemistry and PET radiotracers for research and clinical use
* To take lead in drawing together and checking the appropriate documentation for regulatory applications by providing the required production and validation data
* Organising rotas of PET Chemistry staff (in consultation with the QC manager, production manager and PET centre service manager) for production of PET radiopharmaceuticals.
* The post holder will report to the head of PET Chemistry for strategic and long term planning.
* Responsibly communicate with pharmacy QA/QPs, chemists, scientists and clinicians involved in radiopharmaceuticals.
* To report any deficiencies in the production of radiopharmaceuticals to the Head of PET Chemistry
* To be responsible to communicate with other scientific and technical staff to solve technical problems in a timely manner to ensure smooth production of tracers
* The post holder will be required to work with minimum supervision. They must, therefore be able to manage their own time and workload efficiently and effectively. This also requires a confidential and methodical approach with a flexible and adaptable work ethic. They will interlink with other areas of the PET Centre and research groups within Imaging Sciences and Biomedical engineering Division and will be required to communicate with them effectively.
