We are looking for a Principal Database Engineer to join a global software powerhouse in Reading. If you are able to demonstrate sound knowledge of developing databases as well as experience of schemas and stored procedures, then you may be the Principal Database Engineer that we have been looking for. What will you be doing? As Principal Database Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on the development of brand new cloud based products using the latest technology. You'll be responsible for designing and developing core parts of the product, emphasis usability, supportability and quality. Further to this, you will mentor and coach team members and display initiative when keeping up with new technologies and industry trends that are relevant to the product. If you want to be part of creating a whole new genre of enterprising products, then we want to hear from you. What skills should you have? A degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline (First/2:1) Sound Knowledge of SQL (and associated technologies T-SQL etc) Commercial experience of developing with large databases, 20+ Terabyte's Developing database Schemas If you have experience, working with service level agreements to maintain minimum downtime for customers or clients this would be advantageous.
