Role Summary
Data is at the heart of my client, yet there is work to do to mature the companies Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Management & Integration. The Domain Architect will work closely with the Enterprise Data Architect on strategic direction and governance.

For Data, you will be working closely within the team responsible for delivering standard integration services and setting up and managing services for Data Management. This will include shaping services that support analytics and reporting capabilities; using data to improve services and protect the firm and our clients.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
The key responsibilities of the Domain Architect - Data role are to become the recognised and consulted 'go-to' for architectural design and documentation, and to meet specific opportunities, problems or changes within the domain through the application of technology. Balancing the impacts of maintenance, support and stability of existing services with the needs of the change and transformation programmes.

Being successful in the role requires the Domain Architect to champion the IT vision; ensuring all transformation decisions are in line with the strategy and compliant with Architecture Standards; working within the internal and external governance processes to ensure that solutions are designed, developed and delivered according to the agreed principles and key business outcomes, and maintain solid working relationships with the Senior Service Managers and Enterprise Architects.

Day-to-day, the Domain Architect is responsible for:
*Supporting the firm's enterprise data governance strategy;
*Driving good practice in master data, data asset, data usage, data quality and data security management;
*Creation of a framework/metrics to ensure progress in this domain can be measured;
*Driving development of monitoring compliance and reporting for enterprise data;
*Maintaining specialist knowledge of the technologies and vendors of the domain;
*Creating/maintaining interface catalogues, data models and reference models to define business continuity and business impact;
*Providing expert data advice to the firm's stakeholders, functions and programmes of work;
*Collaborating with business functions and technology leaders to assess impact of data on the enterprise for strategic and tactical planning and use;
*Agreeing and approving all deviations on customizations and architectural guidelines;
*Actively supporting and consulting all projects within the domain as a member of the Architecture Review Board (ARB).

Key Requirements

Essential requirements (not domain specific)
*Experience in applying architectural principles into programme delivery;
*Awareness of and demonstrable knowledge of modelling tools and notations e.g. ArchiMate, UML, and architectural frameworks e.g. TOGAF and Zachman;
*Business and commercial experience;
*Experienced with interdependent business change / transformation programmes;
*Understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies and associated ways of working;
*Stakeholder management skills and be able to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
Essential Domain specific requirements
*Experience in data modelling techniques (e.g. Conceptual/Logical/Physical/Canonical/DFD, etc.) & taxonomy management;
*Experience in data analytics, reporting and business intelligence tools;
*Experience working with integration layers from a data perspective (preferably including both service & data integration patterns);
*Experience of data architecture governance structures & processes;
*Experience of hybrid data architectures (Cloud & on-premise);
*Demonstrable understanding of the opportunities and implications of using data to deliver value for our customers, colleagues and the business;
*Strong influencing skills to optimise data management and governance outcomes through collaborative work with business and IT stakeholders;
*Experience in leading engagements to deliver Data related outcomes;
*Good awareness of data related regulations globally.
