This role is based within the Worldwide IT Department as part of the Core Technologies Group. This is an internal-client and IT facing role. Responsible for working with the IT PMO to design and implement business focused technology solutions on a local, regional and global scale, Service and Technology ownership and 3rd line operational support.

Responsible for:
  • Improvement and ownership of WWS Services and Infrastructure technologies
  • Exploring opportunities to innovate and drive new technology initiatives
  • Delivering new initiatives and services by working closely with the Project Management Office as a technical resource
  • Authoring technical documentation
  • Applying core ITILv3 Principles (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Design and Service Transition)
  • Providing expert assistance in 3rd Line operational escalations

Essential Skills:
  • Troubleshooting and Configuring Windows Server 2008R2 - 2016
  • Experience of Multi-site Active Directory, GPO and PKI
  • Advanced VMware VSphere 6.5
  • Enterprise Storage (EMC Isilon, Nimble Block)
  • Core IP Services (DNS/DHCP Infoblox)
  • Linux fundamentals (Red Hat and CentOS)
  • ITIL v3 Foundation IPC

Desirable Skills:
  • Exchange 2013 upwards
  • SQL Server 2014
  • Windows Clustering
  • Citrix XenDesktop
  • LANDESK Service Desk
  • LANDESK Management Suite
  • McAfee Anti-Virus
  • Public Cloud

Experience & Qualities Required:
  • You should have 2-3 years experience in a senior role as part of an Infrastructure team.
  • Be able to confidently convey complex technical ideas and principles to other members of staff and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Experience in writing documentation and presenting for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a large organisation with sites located globally
  • Self-motivated individual who is able to act on his/her own initiative
