MI Developer
Up to £35,000

Your new role
The MI Developer is very much a hands-on role; responsible for the enterprise data architecture of the group as well as ensuring a quality enterprise MI Service (Customers and Internal).
Working with agile methodology, you will serve as a subject matter expert across areas of technical expertise, lead the development of and help shape the overall architecture roadmap, and help prioritise MI Development and initiatives to meet overall Business Objectives.
Define MI, BI data or system objectives by analysing business and Customer and end-user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality and building sustainable solutions.
Responsible for overseeing delivery of MI and BI initiatives, including data warehousing, ETL processes, reporting tools, universe design and MI data quality.
Complete all development activities by co-ordinating requirements, schedules and activities across the MI team. Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms. Support and develop MI Developers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.
Delivery of agreed MI and BI improvements to time, cost & quality MI reports are consistently available on time as fed back from Customers and Managers
Evidence of continuous improvements in Data Quality, prioritised according to business benefit

Experience needed
Must have a strong data analysis background with extensive experience across multiple different MI and BI projects.
Extensive practical experience using a variety of different MI and BI platforms, tools and techniques (eg MS SQL/Server, MS SSRS, Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos, etc).
Must also have an excellent understanding and good experience of SQL and data warehousing working with large data sets in mid-sized to large organisations (200+ employees).
A good understanding of Enterprise Architecture industry "best practice" and some previous experience of successfully contributing and then delivering Enterprise Architecture, BI and MI to wider business strategy and objectives.
Development Tools and Techniques - knowledge and experience of using development tools and techniques such as web-scripting, programming (eg C#, VB) is highly desirable.
