SQL Developer / BI Developer - London

I am currently hiring for a Trading House in London who are hiring for a Senior to design and build the IT systems that are needed to support the growing business and lending platforms. The individual will be influential in the analysis, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of these class leading platforms, whilst liaising with business teams, vendors and platforms. The person will be working within a small IT team, reporting to the Head of Technology, and will be comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-orientated environment.

Skill Requirements

Key Skills

  • Strong background in SQL Server, ETL and data warehousing.
  • Strong SQL Programming skills (T-SQL, Stored procedures, Functions, etc.)
  • Strong background with the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
  • Good knowledge of DAX & MDX.
  • Experience working with PowerBI.
  • A passion to drive systems forward through automation.
  • Strong business analysis skills as they will be responsible for working closely with the business to gather requirements and implement them.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A passion to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to deliver all aspects of a project from start to finish.
  • Ability to work without close supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to other members of the development team.
  • Ability to pick up existing systems and quickly get up to speed.
  • Preferable skills:

  • Previous working experience in the Finance sector.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft .Net stack, especially C#
