A well-known international pharmaceutical company with sites around the globe is looking to hire a Sales Strategy Manager. The company specialises in developing and producing medicines and vaccines for a wide range of therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiology and immunology. The Sales Strategy Manager role will be accountable for developing and executing the trade marketing strategy aligned with the brand strategy on specific company products. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle 2 major brands in the market and bringing it to life in the On-Trade Channel by developing strategic brand and channel activation plans - that both excite customers and deliver the commercials! As a truly global brand it benefits from above and below the line support. You will work closely with the Head of Sales Strategy in developing account strategies with the key customers to deliver the plan and it is crucial that you are able to translate insight into convincing trade story for this launch. You will also work closely with the Marketing brand team and sales team meaning joint ownership of customer activation plans.

Key accountabilities:

* Works closely with the Head of Sales Strategy, Sales and Brand marketing team
* Establishes excellent working relationships with key customer contacts to influence brand activation plans
* Work closely with cross functional teams to develop account strategies with the key customers to deliver the overall plan
* Regular alignment with cross functional colleagues to ensure impactful and engaging customer presentation decks are developed
* Development of compelling and brand-aligned On Trade activations that demonstrate market, customer AND consumer insight
* Manage and track the OPEX Display P&L to deliver against financial targets and maximise ROI
* Manages the relationship with key agency partners to maximise plans and value for money
* Accountable for the development and execution of annual brand and channel activation plans
* Reports to Head of Sales Strategy

Skills and Requirements:

* Extensive trade marketing experience in an FMCG or OTC environment (5+ years' experience)
* Strong experience in Trade strategy development and annual trade planning
* Very strong understanding of retailer's strategy and development of tailored customer plans that deliver sales and profit targets
* Experience on major accounts - Tesco, Asda, JS, Boots & Morrisons
* Excellent team and cross functional worker and leader
* Operate with a high degree of autonomy - only very minimal review required ahead of big meetings/presentations
* Ability to execute flawlessly agreed customer in-store display programs
* Use diverse information sources to identify changes in consumer, shopper and retailer attitudes and behaviours
* Analyse diverse data and information sources to evaluate competitors, PCH and retailer's strengths and weaknesses to help drive trade strategy development
* University degree or equivalent
* Understand the brand P&L and effectively manage brand trade budget
* Project leadership skills - ability to plan and execute activities / projects to achieve the agreed result
* High level of IT literacy in Microsoft office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
* PCH project management process
* PCH promotional and labelling materials approval procedure
* Understands the regulatory constraints affecting brand/trade strategy execution
* Experienced user of AC Nielsen and Kantar data
* Walton Oaks based (3 days/week, 2 days home office)
