QlikView Developer - Business Intelligence Solutions Developer - QlikView / SQL Server 2008 - 2016 / Microsoft BI Development Stack / Excel / QlikView Architecture.


The Business Intelligence Solution Developer position will play a key role in the success of the team as my client develop a number of reporting solutions for external and internal customers. The ideal candidate will have a combination of creative skills, technical skills and attention to detail to bring best practice solutions to market. Jointly with the local business teams you will develop and support the reporting requirements in various European countries following the guidelines and templates provided by headquarters.

  • Working closely with the Head of Business Intelligence Solutions to develop QlikView apps
  • Design develop and test QlikView scripts to import data from source systems and test QlikView dashboards to meet customer requirements
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation
  • Extract, transform and load data from proprietary SQL databases into QlikView applications including SAP, legacy databases and additional sources
  • Migrate code across production, development and testing environments
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation
  • Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation
  • Have the skill set to publish applications to a QlikView enterprise server environment
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the QlikView environment is operating and stable on a day to day basis including data re-loads
  • Provide production support, including working with internal stakeholders to identify issues and to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support or manage small or mid-size development projects
  • Assist during an entire project lifecycle (requirements gathering - post implementation support) and take responsibility for successful project delivery
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and training sessions for the local users within the various EMEA countries
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts in a business language that less technical users will be able to understand
  • Identify opportunities to improve the current implementation(s) and generate creative solutions
  • Improving and streamlining processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and
  • Collaborate with other expert teams

  • 3+ years of experience utilizing QlikView to implement analytical solutions accessing and integrating data from multiple sources
  • Proven experience of working within a similar BI Development position
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft BI Development Stack
  • Strong knowledge of QlikView architecture including building qvd's and qvw's
  • Strong MS Excel experience
  • SQL Server 2008 - 2016 experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written, verbal and listening, to liaise with many departments at various levels and across EMEA
  • Proven ability to roll up your sleeves and make a contribution quickly
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, logical process thinking. Investigates problems to establish real or hidden causes and solves complex problems with creative solutions
  • Self-motivated and a strategic thinking
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills in order to prioritise objectives effectively and efficiently and be very hands on in their approach
  • Able to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent knowledge of NPrinting preferred
  • Prior use of business intelligence tools with a strong ability to build data models

  • Experience with SAP desirable
  • European language desirable
