QA Automation and Performance Engineer


My client is an exciting tech company based in London that is growing rapidly and investing a lot into their tech team and now there couldn’t be a better time to join! They are looking for QA Automation and Performance Engineers who want to join a fast paced development team working on green-field development, building products that use the latest web technology to produce scalable, accessible products that work on any device and deliver fantastic B2B and B2C customer experiences.

The QA Automation and Performance engineer will report to the Lead QA but will be embedded into one of the cross-functional agile development teams working on a mix of Greenfield and integration projects.

Located in Central you will be given the opportunity to work in a small, exciting collaborative environment as party of an agile team that encourages innovation and contribution from everyone.

Core Responsibilities of QA Automation and Performance Engineer
  • Work closely with product owners and the team within an agile environment
  • Work closely with your product owners and the team to identify acceptance criteria
  • Advocate of test automation and achieving appropriate level of test coverage
  • Work as a quality coach within the team
  • Contribute to wider business goals for ensuring availability, security, and scalability of its platforms
  • Be actively involved in refinement and planning sessions
  • Collaborate with other developers and ensure that appropriate unit and integration test coverage is achieved
  • Contributing to improvements to Continuous Integration/Continuous delivery Pipeline
Skills & Requirements of QA Automation and Performance Engineer
  • At least one Object orientated programming language e.g. C#, Java
  • Web UI/API test automation frameworks and understanding of best practice (including incorporating these within CI/CD pipeline)
  • Working knowledge of test automation pyramid
  • Ability to write basic SQL Queries
  • Hands on experience working in an agile development team
  • Understanding of BDD
  • Commercial experience performance/load testing
Advantageous skills of QA Automation and Performance Engineer
  • Enthusiasm for picking up new tools/tech etc.
  • Commercial experience of BDD
  • Experience testing Micro services
  • Experience testing products using NoSQL
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and nodeJS
  • Experience of Amazon Web Services
  • AWS infrastructure
  • C#/.NET
  • Commercial experience of Non Functional Testing areas apart from performance
