Role: Trading Systems Support Analyst

Tech: Strong Linux experience, SQL, Perl, Python, Bash, Shell

Challenge: Provide support for high spec production systems. Manage the widely-deployed OMS and market data delivery systems involving every major electronic exchange and asset class.

Firm: High Frequency Trading firm

Pay: £75-80k + benefitsand bonus

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Trading Systems Support Analyst to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well-known global FCA-regulated trading firm. They focus on high frequency strategies and are considered one of the most successful businesses in the space.

The successful support analyst will have demonstrated technical achievement working with Linux systems, relational databases and web technologies; the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and most importantly a commitment to exceptional team work and customer service. The role involves both supporting deployed production systems and participating in the design and development of enhancements.

The Linux Technical Operations Engineer will be responsible for:

·Working closely with traders to understand their needs.

·Solving problems by providing level one and level two support for high spec production systems.

·Contributing to the design and implementation of the support system to enhance reliability and self-correction.

·Devising ways to improve the efficiency of operations.

·Monitoring and reporting on the status and health of the client’s systems.

·Serving as the primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges.

·Providing periodic after-hours coverage

Operations Engineers MUST have:

    Professional Linux systems experienceProficient on the command lineA degree or equivalent experience in computer science/a related fieldStrong Perl, Python, Bash or Shell ScriptingKnowledge of SQL and use of databases is a MustProven experience in the finance industryStrong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWillingness to take on tasks both big and smallExcellent communication skills and fluency in EnglishBackground in Java would be a plus.
You must be hands on and have excellent experience of networking in a demanding environment. You will also be a techie motivated by technology. In return you will be rewarded seriously financially.
