Department Overview



The Financial Risk Analytics division are currently building a number of new revenue generating products, leveraging open source and big data technologies. These products in the Financial Data and Application space and primarily targeting the Economic and Regulatory Capital needs of Tier 1 and 2 banking institutions. This includes various Market and Credit Risk methodologies, including the Front Office XVA Solution.



The successful candidate will be working in a fast paced, dynamic team environment, building commercial products which are at the heart of the business. The successful candidates will be joining one of our existing Scrum teams.

Duties & accountabilities
  • Design and implement Risk Analytics Excel AddIn for batch and real-time.
  • Interpret and analyse business use-cases and feature requests into technical designs and development tasks.
  • Be an active player in system architecture and design discussions.
  • Take ownership of development tasks, participate in regular design and code review meetings.
  • Be proud of the high quality of your own work.
  • Work with a number of teams.
  • Always follow quality standards (unit tests, integration tests and documented code).
  • Be delivery focused, have a passion for technology and will enjoy offering new ideas and approaches.


Commercial experience in the following is required:

  • Be able to demonstrate commercial experience on C# user focussed financial projects.
  • Windows platform.
  • C# and .Net 4.5 framework
  • Git
  • Exceldna, WPF, MVVM, DevExpress, angular.js, HTML5
  • NoSQL databases
  • http/Restful webservices
  • SQL
  • Exposure to or interest in Scala/Java and related big-data technologies


Teamwork

The development team is a small, friendly, close-knit team who share ideas and peer-review each other's code, and the candidate must be keen to work in such an environment.
