Income Manager - Private Healthcare

£40,000 depending on experience

Our client is in the middle of a huge growth period and, as such, this role is a pivotal role within the organization.

You will be responsible for capturing all the Hospital's income across all departments - this is a private Hospital and you will be responsible for managing commercial contracts and tenders with existing clients as well as with new ones.

You will work closely and collaboratively with Clinical Unit Managers and manage a small team of Patient Liaison Coordinators.

Income capture will be predominantly from privately insured patients or self funding patients; it is essential that you are competent at putting pricing proposals together and ensuring that these are robust whatever the entry route to the Hospital is and that ALL income is captured.

The role will involve much internal stakeholder management as well as external stakeholder management; you will therefore be a superb communicator when communicating with all levels of people.

A part of this role will involve you bench marking and implementing annual price lift exercises. An adjunct to this will be working closely with the Business Development Director and identifying new business opportunities; highlighting value added services that will compliment tenders and pricing proposals.

You will be tasked with ensuring that all policies, procedures and workflows are continually reviewed and improved, where appropriate, and also relied upon to make sure that all staff (outside of the Finance team) are appropriately skilled in income collection processes.

You will be a key member of the Finance department and contribute to the overall strategy.

Ideally you will be accountancy trained and have experience of managing a small team. You will need to demonstrate strong commercial and business acumen and be able to interpret, explain and implement detailed policy and procedure.
