A thriving Biotechnology organisation in Scotland (central belt) are looking for a Medical Director to join their team. If you can display significant clinical development and medical expertise within the pharmaceutical or CRO environment, then this could be the opportunity that you've been looking for to move into a senior level, above country role.

What will you be doing?

As the Medical Director for EU / US Oncology you will be working in a fast-paced, global environment. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in the projects and company. Your medical expertise will be called upon throughout the entire life-cycle of a project.

You will be involved Managing the Clinical Research function, establishing a EU and US clinical team, and commencing phase III treatment sites internationally - extensive travel to the EU and US will therefore be necessary for this role. You will define the clinical research strategy as well as taking the lead in discussions with clinicians, regulators, key opinion leaders, senior management and our board

In addition to clinical focused work, you will be delivering training to project teams across the Company, review medical data on the indication, inclusion / exclusion criteria and other medical issues to ensure our overall project deliverables are achieved

As an experienced principle investigator / Medical Director you will share your vast medical expertise at investigator meetings, kick-off meetings, and client face-to-face meeting.

* Ensuring patient recruitment targets are met
* Providing input into the creation of the protocol and other study-related documents
* Working closely with Drug Safety teams to evaluate Serious Adverse Events and to develop Safety Management Plans, Pharmacovigilance Plans and Risk Management Plans

What skills/experience should you have?

* GMC registered medic / physician
* Significant industry experience
* Management and mentor-ship experience
* Track record of working within a matrix environment
* Oncology expertise
