SQL SSRS C# Reporting Developer sought by leading Financial Services organisation based in London City.

Technical & Business Knowledge:
  • Understand and be knowledgeable of the end to end technology required to deliver the team application suite.
  • Understand the business use and surrounding IT and process context within which each application in the application suite operates.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and able to query proficiently in Transact-SQL is a necessity.
  • Maintain familiarity with the published architecture standards and adhere to them where possible. Ensure approval is gained if a solution may deviate from standards. Maintain interest in enhancing and expanding the standards.
  • Maintain personal development plan to ensure technical and business knowledge is current and up to date.
  • Share technical knowledege with Barings colleagues.

Person Specification:
  • Minimum of 5 years technical development experience
  • Knowledge of C# and VB
  • Solid experience and knowledge of T-SQL,
  • Experience building/using relational databases and writing advanced queries
  • Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
  • Report writing/design experience (Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects etc.)
  • Willingness to undertake a range of tasks including software maintenance, enhancement and integration work; design and development; analysis of requirements; analysis of technical / support issues and testing.
  • Previous experience supporting technical needs at an investment manager or similar financial firm highly desired
  • Ability to understand business concepts and interpret business partner requests
  • Strong sense of urgency and desire to see solutions implemented expediently
