SQL Database Developer is required by an internationally established service organisation. This development role is focused on delivering data platforms for my clients portfolio of applications. Leveraging Microsoft SQL Server to build and maintain the data architecture we need.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking ownership of the database platform, enabling the constant improvement, availability and performance of their portfolio of applications. Whilst the company are not necessarily looking for the finished article, what they will need to see is an individual who is naturally adept with MS SQL Server, T-SQL development and ideally database administration skills including troubleshooting, performance tuning and monitoring. Fundamental OO programming skills should also form part of your skill set. Other than this, candidates should display a committed attitude to technology along with aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies as the company moves forward.
Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI will be desirable and should already be a part of your working experience in a SQL developer role. While you won’t be expected to be a strict BI developer, having the working knowledge will be ideal to any successful candidate and place any applicants at the top of the pile.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 7.5 hours worked per day, variable start shifts between the hours of 08:00 and 17:30.
