Prospero Teaching's Special Educational Needs & Disability department is rapidly growing and is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant

About the SEND Teaching Assistant Job
*Work with sixth form students who are on the Autistic Spectrum with delayed Speech and Language and communication
*Support these pupils 1:1

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will
*Have some knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange communication system) or know how to use visuals to support SEND pupils
*Be a good communicator and able to build positive relationships
*Be reliabile and committed with initiative and creativity
*Have a clear drive and passion for working with SEND children

In order to be eligible the successful SEND Teaching Assistant must
*Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
*Have demonstrable experience of working with children or adults with SEN
*Be able to provide 2 recent references
*Be a UK resident or eligible to work in the UK
