Job Purpose

The Interventional Clinical Manager reports to the Director of CMA EMEA with a dotted line to the International Clinical Practice Manager, and is responsible for supporting the safe and effective use of the Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Radiology/Oncology product franchises.

The Interventional Clinical Manager will directly manage EMEA level programs and collaborate with the Clinical Managers to provide country level support. The direct provision of clinical expertise will be in addition to the use of contract HCPs to manage educational needs across EMEA. Clinical support will be provided to physicians, nurses, techs, etc. to include support for live cases/proctorships and other educational programs in the therapeutic areas related to focus products. Society engagements facilitating the exchange of scientific information will be the responsibility of the Interventional Clinical Manager, in close collaboration with the Global Director of Professional Affiliations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to trouble shoot medical device applications in a cardiology clinical setting are necessary. Strong leadership and organizational skills are required with an aptitude for motivating clinicians and providing clinical support to all Teleflex employees. The capability for strategic planning to reach the company's long-term goals is also required.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

Manage clinical education programs in EMEA, focused on the safe and effective use of Teleflex's focus medical devices from the Interventional BU.

- Clinical content creation, validation & management Clinical workshops oLive cases
- Product In-services
- Scientific exchanges of information with medical societies
- Pre-conference & in-booth educational programs
- Meetings with scientific committees
- Education grant support oResearch submissions (in collaboration with the Global Research & Scientific Services team)
- Off-label support for Teleflex products in accordance with Teleflex policy & local legal regulations
- EMEA level clinical workshops
- HCP Interactions/engagements oContractor management in the provision of educational programs
- SME/KOL engagements oFMV review & legal agreements oIdentify, recruit & retain Clinical Educators (CEs)
- Coordinate the development and training of the CE team in conjunction with in country Clinical Managers

Monitor effectiveness of the CEs by developing competencies, evaluating CEs based on them, and continually monitoring compliance with Teleflex policies.

Extensive travel may occur within EMEA to train and work with the direct and in-direct (International Distributors) employees on the Company's products and applications along with related field clinical issues of diverse scope where results require an in-depth knowledge of the Company's products, training requirements and clinical troubleshooting.

Perform field clinical trouble-shooting on the Company's products by working with clinicians as required & in collaboration with the QA/RA teams.

Develop ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent the Company positively through field travel, clinical interaction, and medical meetings.

Serve as part of the CMA clinical expert team on product applications and troubleshooting when interfacing with the direct and in-direct employees, along with the clinicians in those markets.

Provide expert advice to the EMEA & CMA leadership team on acquisition & go-direct projects.

Assist the R&D department as needed in gaining user feedback & clinical expertise.

Assist with other international projects as assigned

Other assigned duties and responsibilities as required to meeting corporate goals.

Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex's Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standard

Monitor international distributors and sales personnel to ensure they are obeying U.S. laws and the company's Code of Conduct in their business dealings.


Minimum level of education/experience required.

- Bachelors' Degree preferred. Acceptable credentials include RN/BSN, RCIS, RT.
- Possess minimum five years' experience in the medical field; preferably hospital based Cath lab, IR, med/surgical oncology environments.
- Working knowledge of complex coronary interventions and products, excellent physician presentation skills in a clinical setting, strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct business in an ethical manner
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Clinical proficiency in area of clinical training and experience with at least one of the Teleflex Interventional product lines preferred.
- Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
- Exhibits strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Established track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Clinical proficiency in area of clinical training and experience with products in the Interventional franchise.


Overall performance will be driven through the effective development and execution of processes and customer interaction by CMA to drive increased utilization and adoption of the Arrow OnControl products and Vascular Solutions "complex interventional" products, including but not limited to GuideLiner, TrapLiner, Turnpike catheters, and TwinPass catheters. A strong foundational knowledge and command of the full VSI line-up of products approved for the certain market is required. An ability to work in a collaborative manner with the EMEA commercial team and execute the core responsibilities of the role in alignment with the overall business strategy.
