About the role:

  • Development role in the Middle Office team, which involves working closely with the Business and
  • Front Office team in order to build new enhancements and provide support for an internal FX platform
  • The primary focus of the role is the FX Blotter application, which offers exposure to FX Spot, Forward, NDF, FX Options and working as a part of distributed team of developers in the UK and US.
  • The role will focus on delivering such functionalities to web frontend and backend post trade workflow.
Key responsibilities:

The objectives of the role:

  • To work in partnership with the Business and Production Support team to identify and develop key new requirements
  • To identify any technical requirements for new products
  • To work with all the business and technology departments to ensure all business and technical requirements are met
  • To identify and manage any integration work
  • To analyse, design and build any such projects
  • To provide input into the current and on-going system architecture
  • To liaise with other development teams as necessary to implement cross-team projects
  • To undertake and manage:
  • Systems development and documentation
  • Production Support activities
  • Systems analysis and design
Skills / experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of software development in a financial services environment
  • Minimum of 3 years development experience of Java
  • Minimum of 3 years development and design experience in at least one major RDBMS (e.g., Oracle)
  • Proven experience in: JavaScript, JSP, Apache Struts 2, PL/SQL
  • Willingness to keep up to date with latest technology trends and proactively identify appropriate areas into which they can be applied
