Medical Writer

Position: Full-time office based with flexibility to work from home
Salary: £30000-£40000
Location: Cheshire

This Medical Writer role is perfect for those that love communicating medical science within a medical communications or medical education agency. This established medical communications agency is made up of PhDs that have an advanced understanding of science allowing them to be experts in creating content that engages and informs. The Scientific Content Team are not just experts in science they are scientific enthusiasts and love what they do so they always deliver great work. As Medical Writer, you will be responsible for independently producing accurate, concise and insightful material across projects that have limited input during editorial review. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of therapeutic areas including immunology, cardiology and oncology.

Responsibilities:

* Producing accurate and concise insightful material across different projects
* Adapting writing and editing style for different audiences for different forms of media such as websites, apps, animations and events materials
* Highly proficient use of Microsoft office including PowerPoint and Excel
* Interacting with clients, KOLs and external teams
* Providing input to new business proposals and attending pitches
* Signing of the work of colleagues and providing editorial support to more junior writers

Attributes:

* PhD in Life Sciences or Medicine (Essential)
* Experience working in a medical communication or education agency (essential)
* Excellent scientific writing skills
* Great project management skills
* Experience in fields of oncology and immunology (essential)
* Track record of attending face to face meetings and teleconferencing
